January

On January 11 many our students participated in Westfield Scholastic chess tournaments among rated and unrated players in different age groups.

  We congratulate:

Pavel Temkin
for the 1st place among K-2 grade students with USCF rating;

for the 2nd place among 3-5 grade students with USCF rating;

Ari Shusterman
for the 2nd place among K-2 grade students with USCF rating

for the 3rd place among K-2 grade students with USCF rating;

Our other students - Mark Shteyn, Eitan Shnayder, brothers Daniel and Ronen Shor, Sasha Chernyshova, Roy Rinberg had also high results in different age sections of this tournament, close to the winners.

February


In February many our students participated in Westfield Scholastic chess tournaments for the first time.
And one of them,
         Jesse Gehtman
won 1st place among K-2 grade students in unrated section.

March

In March Westfield Scholastic chess tournaments our students  participated in all sections including rated and unrated competitions among 6-12 grade students. The debut in these sections was very successful:

won  the 1st trophy among 6-12 grade students with USCF rating;

was  on the 1st place among 6-12 grade students in unrated section;

In unrated competition among
3-5 graders, our students won all medals:

-  Daniel Shor was on the 1s place ;

Ronen Shor and Elliot Dean shared 2nd-3rd places among 3-5 grade students in unrated section

Among the youngest players in K-2 unrated section:

- Aviv Khavich won the 2nd place;

- Anton Maliev finished with the 3rd place medal

In May Westfield Scholastic chess tournaments our students participated in different sections.
Mark Shteyn was the best among 6-12 grade students in unrated section.
He won a gold medal with a great result - 3 victories in 3 games!
